Scott Carpenter, in full Malcolm Scott Carpenter, (born May 1, 1925, Boulder, Colorado, U.S.—died October 10, 2013, Denver, Colorado), American test pilot and astronaut who was one of the original seven astronauts in NASA’s Project Mercury and the fourth to be launched into space. Scott was always happy and will be remembered as being the life of the party. Carpenter sent a ``written communication'' Wednesday to members of victim AJ Kelley's family, Attorney General Drew Edmondson said. Scott is originally from a small town in South Dakota near Sioux Falls. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pam, a daughter -Amy (Des Moines), a son He is known for his work on Never Say Never Again (1983), The Fall Guy (1981) and Living Seas (1986). In his free time, Scott enjoyed spending time with Sam, his son, watching sports, going to NASCAR races and listening to 80’s rock, especially KISS.. He practiced with a group of doctors in Lansing, MI for almost 4 years before moving to Arizona in 2007 and has been the owner of TRI-CHIROPRACTIC FAMILY CARE since then.
